I have the winter holster and i often use it without any problem with the knife.
You also said the bug appears with the mod uninstalled too, so there is really nothing we can do about it, seems like a random glitch that may or not be caused by our mod.
-
Added some new comparison images to the mod page and figured would be nice to post them here too.

Didnd't have this issue with JMRP, can't say its an issue with it.
1 hour ago, xuru said:I tried doing the mod manager fix, but now only John's Gambler's hat is visible.
I also have some suggestions. Could you add the vest chain present in the wedding vest as an addon talisman so it works on all vests?
The new winter gloves also make John's hand very dirty, and the winter holster and scarf have blood on them. Could you edit the texture so they look cleaner?
Our goal is to maintain the files as most original as possible and gradually get rid of the files in streaming. So the textures will remain as it is.
There is already a mod that adds vest chain as a talisman and you can use it if you want.

And one last request. Could you add back the full black worsted coat as an addon, along with the invisible off hand holster and invisible satchel? An invisible holster and invisible gunbelt option would be nice too.
Impossible to fix the cut on the patch, and to be honest i like it.
The black worsted coat is going to be added in the future update of the file Bonus stuff, and the invisible holster and stachel are in bonus stuff as well.

It is possible to edit it, they're props and they have textures in the files that can be edited, but i'm afraid you can't replace the cassimere texture because its not in the same file as the others, its probably embedded in the prop

Since the latest version of the mod is not compatible with other mods with YMT edits such as Red Dead Offline, i uploaded an old version of the mod (2.0) without any ymt as an optional file.https://www.nexusmods.com/reddeadredemption2/mods/478?tab=files

His hair is invisible right under his hat and there is a weird line on his neck/chest
Oh, youre talking about xuru’s pic.
You dont even have the mod installed judging by what you said on page 2.

From the screenshot that I've seen in the hair thread it doesn't look too bad. I think it's good having him look scarily skinny, makes the player put more thought into the weight mechanic for poor Marston's sake.
Do you mean an even more prominent neck seam? If so then yeah I understand why you're reluctant of adding it.
Yes the neck seam is prominent even on the npc body.

Why is some of John's hair invisible, and also why is there a big line going across his chest
John’s hair invisible? When? And what line across the chest? -

It looks like they took inspiration from John's beta face instead of the finished version, beard also isn't as dark as it should be.
By the way, in your mod the underweight head model looks the same as the perfect weight head model, I think you forgot to replace it with the correct model after you finally managed to find a way to replace the perfect/average weight head. The overweight head model also clips through the high neckerchief, I'm wondering if it's fixable or if we're gonna have to wait for full Open IV support.
I didnt forget to do anything. The overweight head is the beta overweight head. It clips through the neckerchief but theres nothing we can do about it, even when openiv comes, because the neckerchief doesnt expand or change size with weights. The reason i didnt include the beta underweight is because its waaay skinnier than original John, looking scarier than Arthur Marston himself, and adding that head would result in more complaints that i’m not interested to deal with right now.-

Well the beard does look a bit blurry.
Yeah the face texture is definitely blurrier and more waxed out than original texture, its a good edit but i rather stick with the vanilla one. Also, the beard texture isnt really accurate.

Btw i would like to share this awesome video made by Dooge, where he plays the entire epilogue with the John masrton Restoration Project.

Sorry, but I don't understand your question
Highly improbable for it to be implemented onto your mod or highly improbable it will be ever implemented into the game by any mod?
Highly improbable that i'll be able to port this to the game unless we have OpenFormats and GIMS.

It's your mod after all, so do as you wish. This length would suit as right parted 6 IMO.
Its highly improbable that it will ever happen but if it does, it will be as an optional file or a new separate mod.

Well, isn't this whole mod about to restore looks from pre-release of RDR2 promotional screens?
Well, in the future, adding John Marston's RDR1 hair wouldn't hurt.

This discussion reminded me of how much I would like to see his actual original hair from RDR implemented into the mod.
Only when we get OpenFormats and GIMS support.

Do you know what the resolution for Arthur's face texture is?
He has a a 2048x2048 and 1024x1024 version for each texture, even his beta face texture has it.

Ah I misunderstood due to the wording. Photos weren't loading either.
Welp you ain't wrong tho, they did indeed lower the quality of John's player face texture, even John's beta face texture is still half the quality of the npc face texture.
The npc face texture is 2048x2048 while the player face texture is 1024x1024

I understand what he means, i guess its because his npc hair is much monger and wavy than his rdr1 hair, and i gotta admit the fade right parted hairstyles kinda fit John if you are wearing a hat.

I'm returning from a bit of a hiatus, have we stopped posting on the John's hair topic?
I rather use this thread because not only is a RDR2 related website and the admins here - people like LMS - are really nice people

So I've noticed that epilogue John's face texture with his vanilla hairline is lower-res than his npc texture. That might be a big part of why his facial hair looks too light. Is there a way to integrate that higher-res texture?
And I'm using the vanilla hairline because I think that hairstyle is a better match for his RDR1 look than the longer npc hair.
Yeah the npc facial texture is 2048x2048 while the player three texture is 1024x1024. You can see the npc hd texture in HD_0.rpf.

That would be a mess, and a lot of people already have some hard time installing the files. I also want to make the mod one big file instead of a bunch of separate folders like it was before, to make it easier for people to install it. I'm happy with John having the dark brown hair color and his original hairstyles, i don't really want to change it back, its good to have his own hairstyle.

After many years of people's requests and petitions, its finally here. A small mod that begun as a model swapping test for Lambda's new file streaming method, became an ambitious project to fully restore John Marston back to his prime.
This mod restores John Marston's beta assets, such as his beta head models, clothes, hair and more.
Some of the features included are:
ALL of the assets above are included as Add On clothes, they don't replace any asset ingame. To buy them, you need to go to the fence, as seen here:
Unique hairstyles for John were also added, with the correct dark brown hair color and without affecting Arthur Morgan's hair.
Btw, John's classic right parted hair does not clip through the hat.
John's npc pants were also included:
There are many more features in the mod but then it is too much for this post!
Requires the latest build of Lenny's Mod Loader.
To install the mod, simply put the folder "LML" in your Red Dead Redemption 2 directory.
