replace the version.dll with "dinput.dll" from rdr scripthook files -
adding this file causes game to freeze during startup and crash, dont download this, get the "version.dll" from rdr2 scripthook instead.

Same issue, the problem is the version.dll file needs to be updated, apparently there is an updated one on this site, but for the life of me i cannot find it.
