xdhugge 0 Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 This worked for me: C:\Users\yourname\Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\Settings Edit the system.xml file scroll down and change "<API>kSettingAPI_VULKAN</API>" to "<API>kSettingAPI_DX12</API>" Quote

I also have the mod where the game can't revert graphic settings when you change something. I've deleted the .sga files I've modified the .sga files to read only I've modified the .sga files to be empty so they won't cause a vram leak. I've used graphic mods from Nexus for low end cards (I have an Nvidia GeForce 780M) ***It will play for a few hours when I first play the game. After it fails the first time, it will only play in 5 to 10 minute intervals. Quote
Ryo Hazaki 2 Posted April 19, 2023 Author Posted April 19, 2023 RANT COMING!!!! It is really sad that I can't get an official version of RDR2 to work on my laptop, when it worked less than a month ago. Now it crashes every 3 to 5 minutes!!! Makes me feel like this horse... Quote
