RDR 2 Asi Loader 0.2.2

Load ASI files and custom code into the game.
   (5 reviews)

1 Screenshot

A simple ASI Loader for Red Dead Redemption 2 to easily load your custom code into the game.

Files are loaded after Arxan has finished its decryption stage so you can search for your favorite patterns right away!

Installation

Put version.dll in your game root folder. When the game launches, you should hear a few beeping sounds indicating that it got loaded.

Not supported for RDR Online.  Remove the ASI Loader file (version.dll) before playing Online.

Native fixes (build 1436)

Game build 1436 on July 13 2021 removed a few natives used mostly for text rendering making any mod using those crash. The ASI Loader update 0.2 fixes that by re-implementing the following natives with their original hashes. You still need a script hook!

DISPLAY_TEXT
SET_TEXT_COLOR
SET_TEXT_CENTRE
SET_TEXT_SCALE
SET_TEXT_DROPSHADOW
TASK_EVERYONE_LEAVE_VEHICLE

Let me know if any of those do not work as expected. Thanks to fingaweg for their help.

    my game version is 1436.28

    Im on same version 😉

What you need to do is use only the dinput8.dll that comes with scripthook

dont use the version.dll thats what works for me.

Use the scripthook that is ScriptHookRDR2_1.0.1436.31 the dinput8.dll is located in the bin folder.

If you need to use online assets, there is an alternative to version.dll.

Most of my mods have stopped working, save for a few. Do I need to wait for asi loader to be updated or is it something else?

Hello Can somebody help me please when i put version.dll file into my reddead redemtion file my game just doesent opens (i downloaded it cracked i am sorry but i got no money to play the game)

You need this version, worked for me with lml installed as well as ScriptHook. Now also, the Navy Revolver seems to have unlocked at the Saint Dennis Gun store as well! I was trying to get Read Dead Offline 1.3.3 to work so I could unlock stuff from MP and this fixed it!! 😉 Now I shall try WhyEm's DLC and see how it goes. 😄

ASI loader doesn't need an update, but it's likely you will need to update Scripthook RDR2 or use the unofficial one. See the red banner on the homepage.

Try the Scripthook V2 Variant in combination with the Rampage trainer...Remove everything from AB's Scripthook and put this + Rampage + Rage Scripthook v2

Also something new on the Nexus Mod page got posted, an unofficial Scripthook fro the update, maybe try something with that one as well.

Whenever I load with ASI Loader installed, my game crashes after loading into Story Mode. If I use dinput8.dll from AB I can load in but no mods load but Rampage

Hey, im new to modding since ive only had my pc for a couple weeks. I have red dead cracked so i dont know if that affects the mod files to not work. But anyways, when i had the latest AB scripthook and dinput8 files that came from thursday after the update, the game wouldbt start. If i took out dinput 8,  the gamewould start but thatd be useless without the asi loader. When i try the latest version.dll instead, the game woouldnt open up either. If anyone has a different version of a scripthook or asi loader that may work, that'd be great because im new to all this stuff. I follow all the directions on how to install this stuff, and for lennys mod loader, i downloaded some mods through there and made sure they wee enabled, but they werent working either.

adding this file causes game to freeze during startup and crash, dont download this, get the "version.dll" from rdr2 scripthook instead.

replace the version.dll with "dinput.dll" from rdr scripthook files

Anyone got it working again? I was hoping to use Perfect Pelts mod. But when adding version.dll to my game file location, the game doesn't start anymore. Other mods work with LML and Scripthook, like instant travel or map reveal.

@Ben Evans Check to see if there is still not one in the root directory. Also check that it is not located in subdirectories.
