I make RDR2 films. This Freecam mod helps me capture videos like having a film camera. Love it.

    Question to the creator:

    1. Is there a way to add an option to invert the camera vertical movement when using a controller?

    2. Is it possible to save FOV settings? So we can quickly jump to a certain focal length.

    3. Is it possible to save the camera positions? So we can quickly move to a saved spot.

    1. You mean the Left and Right triggers?

    2. I'm adding in a toggle option to keep settings active if going in and out of free cam to adjust to a different area etc. Do you want fov to save to ini or was it to stay active if moving in and out of free cam?.

    3. That shouldn't be a problem.

    3. That shouldn't be a problem.

    1. I use the PS4 Controller. It's the right stick for movement. Right now, when I push the RS up, the view looks up. But I'm more used to an inverted movement. So I'd like to push the RS up and the view looks down. Looking left and right is good, I just need an option to get the up and down inverted.

    2. For the Field of View, my needs is to have the ability to save one FOV or even better, multiple FOV settings and I can switch between them. It's like having a set of lenses (12mm, 50mm, 100mm.. etc) and it'd be super useful to quickly cycle through different FOV. I'm not 100% sure what save to ini means, I guess it does need to save to ini so I can have the FOV settings saved. And having an option to toggle "stay active" would be useful, too. Sometimes I'd like to start with the default FOV, but when I'm filming a scene, it can make things easier to have my last FOV active when I go in free cam. I hope these make sense.

    3. Camera positions are important when filming. It'll be very useful if we can save multiple camera positions and cycle through them.

    4. One extra question: Is it possible to make the "Adjust Speed" go even slower? I have -100 on all of them but they are still too fast for me. I'd like to be able to move very slow when filming closeups.

Thanks for your quick response. Glad to see Red Dead Freecam is being improved.

    1. Thats fine I can add an option to toggle button swapping on the movement so left stick will be look and right stick to move.

    2. I'll add in some quick settings to choose from while still being able to fine tune the fov to a precise number.

    3. Thats done can save a max number of about 100+ coordinates if you wanted to with naming and deleting if you need to know what's what.

    4. I've reworked the speed settings. Now its just about finding the right speed for you. When using.

    1. I probably didn't make the issue clear enough. I think having the left stick to move and right stick to look is okay. The right stick as look control only needs an option to invert the Y-axis. Same as the "Invert Look" option in the RDR2 Controller Settings (as attached screenshot)

    2. 3. and 4 all sound great!

I thought so originally. I've been countering that in the code ill remove the check for inverted axis.

Really nice! How did you manage that the camera follows the player or the person in the shot?

P.s. Thanks for the awesome mod, keep the updates coming 🙂

    I absolutely love this mod.

I'm just wondering if it can be considered, or even if it's possible, to use the camera and the movement of the  player character at the same time?

Is it possible to add a way to regain control of the player movement after setting the camera with freecam? When i exit after choosing a camera position it just defaults back to the game and i loose the camera position.

To clarify, making it so it "freezes" the camera position so we can enter and exit shots with the characters.

how do you add this mod in the ps4?

you don't. Modding is mostly reserved to PC.
