RDR 2 Outfit Changer 0.5.1

Change player clothes and make custom outfits!
   (16 reviews)

Message added by LMS

Please note that you need to use the latest Lenny's Simple Trainer update (version 1.3 or greater) to use multiplayer models properly.

11 Screenshots

We are proud to release our latest modification for Red Dead Redemption 2: An outfit changer! Featuring all of the more than 1300 single player clothing items (and in version 0.2 all multiplayer components!), Arthur has never looked more unique. A word of caution: The component system in RDR2 is very powerful and even many parts of your skin are components which you might need to toggle to make body parts (re)appear! Please read the readme.txt file for more information on how the system works.

Features

  • Change clothing items in over 40 categories with over 10000 total variations!
  • Save your current outfit
  • Quickly equip saved outfits
  • Reset all your components
  • Change Ped Skin (see readme)
  •  Enable Multiplayer Assets (try changing your model to mp_male or mp_female using our trainer to access them in all your glory)
  • New! Change beard and hair length, untuck shirts and much more!
  • New! Customize menu key

Controls

Press F2 to open/close the Outfit Changer menu:

  • Up/Down to navigate the menu vertically.
  • Left/Right to change item options.
  • Enter to select.
  • Backspace to go back.

Installation
All you need to do is drag the files into your game root folder - the one where RDR 2 is installed.

  • The Outfit Changer is loaded from the same folder and shares many of the same files as Lenny's Simple Trainer but works without it.
  • When the game launches, you should hear a few beeping sounds, indicating that the mod is loaded.
  • RDR Online is not supported for modding.  Don't attempt to play Online with this mod.  Remove all files from your game folder before playing Online.

Configuration
Open the outfitchanger.ini file (found in your game folder) in a text editor to configure the Outfit Changer where you can:

  • Change the names of categories.
  • Name your favourite clothing items to make finding them again easier.
  • Manually edit/manage your saved outfits (although you can do this in the menu).

We are working on a Wiki page to document all of the clothing items.

To load any changes to the outfitchanger.ini file, use the "Reload Settings" feature in the menu.

Please don't upload or redistribute this mod, link here instead so that everyone has the most up to date version.

Please note that you are not permitted to sell configuration files for this mod. This mod is free and so should be your files!

I'm afraid you're asking more of the modding community than is currently possible.

    have patience.

the game has only been on PC for a few months. data mining and referencing is still ongoing.

when GTAV came to PC for example, it took more than a few months for elaborate/complex mods to start appearing, beyond basic texture swaps or native trainers. right now everyone is still just working within the constraints of simple HEX editing. the more advanced stuff won't happen overnight.

Gotcha, thank you for responding. I know it's still early, I was just wondering if there would be any updates, but if you say that real complex mods is still months away then i'll wait.

Hello, would it be possible in the future to have the modifications permanants ? I mean, after loading a save, the character stays like it was ? Otherwise this mod is so perfect 😄 Thank you a lot for this !

Saving outfits worked finally for me, had to go into the ini and change " MP" false to true ^^

For the multiplayer faces, is there a way to put a face we created for our own char in multiplayer, not the basics presets ? To make it appear in the list of the head in outfit changer ? Or maybe an imported  head but maybe it's too soon for that ?

    Workflow :

    - use Lenny's trainer to change the model to MSP_SALOON1_FEMALES_01 (add this one in the Ist file) the complete and totally undressed Afro-American woman with Lenny's head (which considering Lenny's young features without any facial hair is acceptable as a female).

    - then open the Outfit Changer. Use the female MP assets to change hair, head and other features. Textures for living humans are mostly paleface, caramel (natives) and dark chocolate (Afro Americans) This one is the latter. Many of the hairs are made to match clothing, so without clothing they sometimes defy gravity. Add some clothes if you are dealing with sensitive nationalities.

The result could look like something like this :

Can I save only clothes without hair and beard? It's wierd when I change hairstyle and after loading saved outfit it changes hairstyle to the previous one.

Would there be a way to use this to fix the glitch where you lose custom outfit slots? Apparently, it *still* hasn't been properly patched - it's not supposed to be able to happen anymore, but, well, it just happened to me. (And singleplayer already doesn't have enough custom outfit slots for me.)

How to get MP outfits to work on Arthur? I’ve seen videos and screenshots of people using multiplayer clothing on Arthur but when I try the clothing glitches out and does not sit properly

    Hey,

Is there a way to play Lenny, for instance, and still be able to talk to NPC's, use Deadeye, etc ? I've managed to get him, but he couldn't do Arthur's things.

When I try to use the wardrobe to save the changed clothes, the changes to the character will be forced to recover. Is there any way to solve it? I think it should be possible! I just want to use the original way of the game to save my changed clothes. I can't put two same RDR2 in the computer, one for playing online and one for playing single!

I just read from someone that as of a recent update the mp male model is unable to be loaded in singleplayer. So that could be why it's crashing.

I have Red Dead Consumption on my PS4, have been lobbying for them to make the online characters available offline since they came out with Online.  Because of this mod I splurged the $100 for a PC version because it seemed to give me the ability to play my online character offline.  While the problem I have doesn't make me regret that decision, because I can still do a lot, every time I try to load the mp_female model it crashes.  I am still able to use the lenny's asian female model, or I could theoretically do the Braithwaite inbred monster, but if that model could get fixed that'd really, really improve my experience.

This is a great mod, but it's a real shame that there is no fix for the same issues people have been complaining about. I was able to manage saving an outfit and loading it, but once I enter a cutscene, my modded hat dissapears along with the length of my mustache. I mean I'm grateful the creator took the time to make this mod, but the same issues many people have mentioned and the creator won't even acknowledge them.
