Change player clothes and make custom outfits!

Please note that you need to use the latest Lenny's Simple Trainer update (version 1.3 or greater) to use multiplayer models properly.

11 Screenshots

We are proud to release our latest modification for Red Dead Redemption 2: An outfit changer! Featuring all of the more than 1300 single player clothing items (and in version 0.2 all multiplayer components!), Arthur has never looked more unique. A word of caution: The component system in RDR2 is very powerful and even many parts of your skin are components which you might need to toggle to make body parts (re)appear! Please read the readme.txt file for more information on how the system works.

Features

  • Change clothing items in over 40 categories with over 10000 total variations!
  • Save your current outfit
  • Quickly equip saved outfits
  • Reset all your components
  • Change Ped Skin (see readme)
  •  Enable Multiplayer Assets (try changing your model to mp_male or mp_female using our trainer to access them in all your glory)
  • New! Change beard and hair length, untuck shirts and much more!
  • New! Customize menu key

Controls

Press F2 to open/close the Outfit Changer menu:

  • Up/Down to navigate the menu vertically.
  • Left/Right to change item options.
  • Enter to select.
  • Backspace to go back.

Installation
All you need to do is drag the files into your game root folder - the one where RDR 2 is installed.

  • The Outfit Changer is loaded from the same folder and shares many of the same files as Lenny's Simple Trainer but works without it.
  • When the game launches, you should hear a few beeping sounds, indicating that the mod is loaded.
  • RDR Online is not supported for modding.  Don't attempt to play Online with this mod.  Remove all files from your game folder before playing Online.

Configuration
Open the outfitchanger.ini file (found in your game folder) in a text editor to configure the Outfit Changer where you can:

  • Change the names of categories.
  • Name your favourite clothing items to make finding them again easier.
  • Manually edit/manage your saved outfits (although you can do this in the menu).

We are working on a Wiki page to document all of the clothing items.

To load any changes to the outfitchanger.ini file, use the "Reload Settings" feature in the menu.

Please don't upload or redistribute this mod, link here instead so that everyone has the most up to date version.

Please note that you are not permitted to sell configuration files for this mod. This mod is free and so should be your files!

There is a MenuKey setting in the outfitchanger.ini file, but it only supports keyboard.

Is it possible to get the new Colt Navy revolver into single player? I'm liking it more than I expected to, gonna be hard to go back to another gun :V

    Edit:

Whoops, thought I was in the trainer thread.

Hello, after loading a save, I tried to get back the outfit I saved but the character is invisible. Sorry if noob questions, I'm new to modding Rockstar games ^^

@Rhonu Thank you a lot but I already tried and it still doesn't work really . I swap the model into a woman then I use the outfit changer to put the woman's clothes from Multiplayer, maybe it's because of that ?

Yes, when an outfit is saved, it is saved with ped model fitting data with it (for lack of knowledge on how else to put that...) I don't know exactly how it is done, but at any rate you will have to swap to that same ped model before applying the saved outfit, then load the saved outfit.

Ok thank you, I will try that , by the way @Cyastic , sorry but, I cannot save outftits anymore,  when I do, the registered outfit doesn"t appears in the list. I checked on the Ini the outfits are in the ini, but not in game. Any idea, please ? ^^

OK so anyone having problems with mp_male and mp_female, I found a solution! Instead of using those models use CS_genstorymale and CS_genstoryfemale. The models are blue but once you start changing components in Outfit Changer everything seems to be ok.

Might have to revisit file permissions of the "outfitchanger.ini". Some operating systems, especially Win 10, likes to yoink permissions away seemingly randomly from time to time. I honestly had never heard of this issue before but after testing it just now I had the same issue. Turns out Win 10 took the file permissions away even though I had taken care of that weeks ago... Sadly, I don't have any other ideas at the moment.

Thank you. Like seriously, thank you. I will add on to this in saying most MP components are broken in the coats and coats (MP) categories, but most everything else is working great. Nice work around until we can figure out why mp_male and mp_female are crashing the game. Oh and hats float 😂

Greetings, I m not sure how this mod used to work before, i have used mods like this one before but, i cannot make my way creating a female character since everything is invisible. I find no option to turn the model into MP model or another ped, it only seems to have part options. I tried to read others opinions and have seen that since last update many people aare having troubles with this mod...

If i want to create aa female character, how shall i proceed? could someone hint me an example? Do i need the Lenny trainer for this to work?

The thing that worked for me is to download Scripthook, from their official site, you use it to change to a female ped, then you apply the mp female clothes / models. For me that still works 🙂

Hello, when I use ScriptHookRDR2 along with your Custom Hook, for some reason it kind of glitches and snow appears all over the map. How can I fix this?

Hey, i've tried a couple of variants of gun belts, holsters and offhand holsters (online content) on arthur, is there a way that in the future our gun and knife can stick inside those holsters and not dangle around, thanks.

Will you be updating Outfit Changer to include the newly added clothes like the corsets in MP, coats, hats, and etc?

I came back to see if this mod had any updates and it's kinda sad that nothing has changed because this mod has huge potential. Is it really not possible to add more color options to the clothes that already work for Arthur/John? That would be a huge improvement to this MOD for sure. I mean in GTAV there were mods that allowed you to choose whatever color you wanted and you could to literally take images from google and put them on any clothing you wanted. I mean when you compare this mod to what we could do in GTAV then it's very limited. Almost pointless to be 100%. The only way to make the clothing from online work is to change your player model but the game crashes almost every time and above all: what's the point if you can't play as Arthur/John? For the clothing options that already work for SP It's really better to get them the normal way. I mean yeah it's cool that you can change your outfit on the fly with this mod, but it's still changes your hair and beard when you change outfits, some clothes you selected also reset after every cutscene (especially neckwear) and when you enter the wardrobe. I'm not trying to make it sound like I'm complaining or anything. What you've already done is amazing and we appreciate the work you do. I'm just hoping that you haven't given up on this mod. Also, a little bit of communicating would be very much appreciated. Like if you are working on an update, what will it include etc.

I'm afraid you're asking more of the modding community than is currently possible.

    have patience.

the game has only been on PC for a few months. data mining and referencing is still ongoing.

when GTAV came to PC for example, it took more than a few months for elaborate/complex mods to start appearing, beyond basic texture swaps or native trainers. right now everyone is still just working within the constraints of simple HEX editing. the more advanced stuff won't happen overnight.
