RDR 2 Outfit Changer 0.5.1

Change player clothes and make custom outfits!
   (16 reviews)

Message added by LMS

Please note that you need to use the latest Lenny's Simple Trainer update (version 1.3 or greater) to use multiplayer models properly.

11 Screenshots

We are proud to release our latest modification for Red Dead Redemption 2: An outfit changer! Featuring all of the more than 1300 single player clothing items (and in version 0.2 all multiplayer components!), Arthur has never looked more unique. A word of caution: The component system in RDR2 is very powerful and even many parts of your skin are components which you might need to toggle to make body parts (re)appear! Please read the readme.txt file for more information on how the system works.

Features

  • Change clothing items in over 40 categories with over 10000 total variations!
  • Save your current outfit
  • Quickly equip saved outfits
  • Reset all your components
  • Change Ped Skin (see readme)
  •  Enable Multiplayer Assets (try changing your model to mp_male or mp_female using our trainer to access them in all your glory)
  • New! Change beard and hair length, untuck shirts and much more!
  • New! Customize menu key

Controls

Press F2 to open/close the Outfit Changer menu:

  • Up/Down to navigate the menu vertically.
  • Left/Right to change item options.
  • Enter to select.
  • Backspace to go back.

Installation
All you need to do is drag the files into your game root folder - the one where RDR 2 is installed.

  • The Outfit Changer is loaded from the same folder and shares many of the same files as Lenny's Simple Trainer but works without it.
  • When the game launches, you should hear a few beeping sounds, indicating that the mod is loaded.
  • RDR Online is not supported for modding.  Don't attempt to play Online with this mod.  Remove all files from your game folder before playing Online.

Configuration
Open the outfitchanger.ini file (found in your game folder) in a text editor to configure the Outfit Changer where you can:

  • Change the names of categories.
  • Name your favourite clothing items to make finding them again easier.
  • Manually edit/manage your saved outfits (although you can do this in the menu).

We are working on a Wiki page to document all of the clothing items.

To load any changes to the outfitchanger.ini file, use the "Reload Settings" feature in the menu.

Please don't upload or redistribute this mod, link here instead so that everyone has the most up to date version.

Please note that you are not permitted to sell configuration files for this mod. This mod is free and so should be your files!

selecting clothes for mp female don't seem to work, don't know if this is red dead offline issue or this mod issue. mp male works fine

Most recent version of this and LST are crashing the game. Removing both this and the LST mod allows the game to run perfectly fine again.

Edit: Dang it, just after posting this initial post, I suddenly had a thought that turned out to be the cause of the issue. To those installing this and LST both, in the mod package there is actually an outdated version.dll (the ASI loader) included. My mistake is that I installed the new ASI loader 0.2.2, but then was accidentally overwriting it with the included version.dll in the mod packages. So either don't copy the version.dll file from this or LST .zips, or install and make sure to overwrite with the newer ASI loader supplied on this site linked here:

If I may, I'd suggest removing or updating the included version.dll in the mod package for this and LST to avoid any further confusion in the future. But at least I was able to get it going again after figuring out what I did wrong.

This is a reported bug in the comments of the Red Dead Offline mod, so it's most definitely that. I can attest that this mod still works perfectly on its own. I guess the Red Dead Offline mod is pretty outdated at the mo', hopefully it will updated soon for the people who use.

The game crashes on the loading screen every time.

The included version.dll (which is an ASI loader) is outdated and will cause crashes when trying to load into the game. You'll need to delete that file and instead use the most up to date version.dll file (which currently is version 0.2.2) from the standalone ASI loader provided on this site. Link: https://www.rdr2mods.com/downloads/rdr2/tools/9-rdr-2-asi-loader/

Just drop that version.dll into your main game directory and you should be good to go.

Hello. I am a mod maker. I design custom mods for RDR 2 PC players. I can design a custom character for you. I can add more than 10 items to a character. Or I can give you a single item that you can add to more than 10,000 PEDs. For example, you can attach more than 4 gun holsters to a character. Or you can use any outfit on the people walking on the streets with a color that is not even in the game. If you are interested in this please add me on discord for more information and send me a message regarding what you want. (düzenlendi)

I designed more than 1300 types of beards and mustaches, more than 200 hairstyles, 1000s of accessories and 100,000s of clothes. This includes native american, viking, pirate, caveman, saxon, knight, conquistador, roman legionnaire, gaul, briton, pict, germanic people, ww1 and ww2, vietnamese soldiers.

Just sent you a friend request on discord. I'm wondering if you could make a couple of character heads for me that might work alongside this mod~

I downloaded this then put it in the root folder. Afterwards, I download the latest version of ASI Loader and put it in the root folder to replace the version.dll.

With Original version.dll from this mod:

    3 Beeps

    Game Launches

White Bar Loading Screen Started and Finished

    Shotgun loading sound

    Crash

    With ASI Loader version.dll:

    1 Beep

Game doesn't Launch, but can be seen in Task Manager

    What now?

Edit: I was using the non-updated DLL. I now used the Updated DLL Version

With Updated DLL from this mod:

    2 Beeps

Game doesn't launch, can be seen in Task Manager

Im terribly sorry but I cant seem to get this to work, I've tried manually installing it like you describe... Moving the contents of the folder into the games directory... But that only seems to work in preventing the game from starting at all (its not crashing mid load or anything... its legit just not loading up at all!). Deleting the files after installing them seems to make the game load up just fine afterwards though, so its not my game being buggy.

I've tried using the Lml with it... hoping it would work that way... but that doesn't seem to do anything either. Game loads but none of the binds work nor do I hear that three beeps you mentioned.

I've tried replacing the version.dll and then manually installing, but that brings me back to the first problem. I've tried watching tutorials and reading guides, as well as some advice from here, but nothing seems to work for one reason or another.

I know you probably hear this alot but can you please offer me some advice on what to do?

changing clothing isn't working, simply nothing happens, sometimes the component gets removed completely.

While I hate to have my first comment be a complaint, I was having a bit of an issue I was hoping others could give me some insight into. I'm honestly not sure if this is an issue caused by Outfit Changer, Eastern's Epic Extras, Red Dead Offline, or all three.

When trying to equip ANY mp shirts/coats/vests/etc, the forearms are always buggily stretched out as per the attached image. Every single top clothing item. I had seen in past comments that a lot of the visual errors can be fixed by selecting a different torso and the like, but the problem persists through every single one except Arthur's base game torso. Even with this, however, any mp clothing I try to equip still has that horrific-looking forearm stretch and I can barely use any of the clothing available.

I've deleted and reinstalled all 3 mods multiple times trying to figure out if I did anything wrong during installation, but nothing I do fixes it. The sole reason I downloaded RDR2 on my PC was for the modding - namely the outfits and such - and I don't want the time I've spent trying to get this set up properly to go to waste because one or more of these mods just doesn't work.

[Edit: The issue is happening with the vast majority of all mp items]

    Hello,

I am testing this mod and with the latest version, when starting a mission, in the cinematic, it works but suddenly the female body becomes invisible and stops working.

If I save the game, exit and re-enter, the changes are erased.

    It can be fixed?

    Thanks.

I can't seem to get any mp components working, I've done what alot of tutorials say but nothing seems to work, any suggestions of how to fix this?

(They're not broken, they just won't show up)

Doesn't load any of the MP components only singleplayer. However the outfit-variations doe seem to have MP-components. No clue how to fix.

I'm not sure why but the MP male and female customization options won't work. I can use the SP assets just fine but after that nothing works. Could it be because of an update or something else?

Edit: I figured out why the mp assets were not working. Don't use outfitchanger with whyems dlc found on Nexus. I don't know why they aren't compatible though l
