RDR 2 Outfit Changer 0.5.1

Change player clothes and make custom outfits!
   (16 reviews)

Message added by LMS

Please note that you need to use the latest Lenny's Simple Trainer update (version 1.3 or greater) to use multiplayer models properly.

11 Screenshots

We are proud to release our latest modification for Red Dead Redemption 2: An outfit changer! Featuring all of the more than 1300 single player clothing items (and in version 0.2 all multiplayer components!), Arthur has never looked more unique. A word of caution: The component system in RDR2 is very powerful and even many parts of your skin are components which you might need to toggle to make body parts (re)appear! Please read the readme.txt file for more information on how the system works.

Features

  • Change clothing items in over 40 categories with over 10000 total variations!
  • Save your current outfit
  • Quickly equip saved outfits
  • Reset all your components
  • Change Ped Skin (see readme)
  •  Enable Multiplayer Assets (try changing your model to mp_male or mp_female using our trainer to access them in all your glory)
  • New! Change beard and hair length, untuck shirts and much more!
  • New! Customize menu key

Controls

Press F2 to open/close the Outfit Changer menu:

  • Up/Down to navigate the menu vertically.
  • Left/Right to change item options.
  • Enter to select.
  • Backspace to go back.

Installation
All you need to do is drag the files into your game root folder - the one where RDR 2 is installed.

  • The Outfit Changer is loaded from the same folder and shares many of the same files as Lenny's Simple Trainer but works without it.
  • When the game launches, you should hear a few beeping sounds, indicating that the mod is loaded.
  • RDR Online is not supported for modding.  Don't attempt to play Online with this mod.  Remove all files from your game folder before playing Online.

Configuration
Open the outfitchanger.ini file (found in your game folder) in a text editor to configure the Outfit Changer where you can:

  • Change the names of categories.
  • Name your favourite clothing items to make finding them again easier.
  • Manually edit/manage your saved outfits (although you can do this in the menu).

We are working on a Wiki page to document all of the clothing items.

To load any changes to the outfitchanger.ini file, use the "Reload Settings" feature in the menu.

Please don't upload or redistribute this mod, link here instead so that everyone has the most up to date version.

Please note that you are not permitted to sell configuration files for this mod. This mod is free and so should be your files!

Awesome, thank you! I tried it out and looks great! I think the only category that is missing is hair accessories for female MP.

When using the animal skin ponchos from Online on Arthur, they appear to be placed a bit higher than Arthur's shoulders? Am I doing something wrong? Any way to fix this?

I had to change my outfitchanger.ini file permission to be able to write. See if that helps you.

When I save a new outfit, I have to go into outfitchanger.ini to change IsMp=False to IsMp=True so it will load properly.

Can this be fixed or automated?

Are you able to get the online clothes to work on SP? I've used all mod menus and can't get them to work.

love the update but i  do have to ask this, will you be considering on redoing the menu to make it look like menyoo or rampage, as i think it will look better and be easier to use

So I don't understand how to use MP clothes/etc and get them to work properly. If I try changing individual body parts to an MP model it's horribly disfigured. If I try any of the mp components on Arthur's model they are so warped they're not worth using

The MP components are designed for the MP models, not for Arthur. Hence they will oftentimes look funny.

Hey boss, just wondering if you're planning on adding npc components. Not all just some for a select few npcs such as john. For example, npc johns face and hair. We can work something out if you want, I'm willing to pay.

The ability to save npc clothes without them being invisible would also be greatly appreciated. And btw thank you for your devotion to the modding community

I was wondering why when I try to put the Zapatero Poncho on Arthur, nothing happens. Do I have conflicting mods or is it because I can only put it on MP characters?

Yeah, but then how do I switch to mp models without the game crashing?

Scratch that, the problem isn't the mp characters anymore. I can switch to them now. They don't have a body but they work alright. The clothes made for them aren't buggy so yeah.

The Zapatero Poncho still won't put on though. Even as a mp character. I don't know if I screwed something up or if it's a bug. Somebody should look into this.

Has this mod been updated for the Naturalist Update, and have multiplayer models been fixed? I noticed in a previous version you said a rockstar update had broken them?

Im not talking about the typical "The MP models dont work on Arthur!!" thing, I know MP models arent meant for SP Characters.

Is there a way to make the base model a MP character and THEN apply the MP clothing so there arent any weird arm bendy-ness???

Yes, MP models work again (use my trainer to change to them, for instance). You can then use the Outfit Changer to give you MP clothing.

Okay awesome, i found what you were talking about and was able to start using the MP models without issue. One thing I was going to ask was are we able to change the MP characters faces yet? As in actually enter a form of 'character creator', not just changing the head model which I did see in the menu

Just a question. Is there a Stubble option for Male MP characters? I cant seem to find it in the Mustache options. If anyone could tell me the ID for it, I would greatly appreciate it. Not game breaking or anything.

The stubble is not a 3d object like the other beards,  but a texture like eyebrows and scars. There's no way to add facial textures as of now I think, correct me if I'm wrong.

I noticed the female eyewears have some issues starting recently. Some items don't line up correctly and they seem to be floating.

I did a test, the female Steel Spectacles and Goggles are working fine if I use a version.dll from Outfit Changer v03, but they don't work with the newer releases.

Any way these can be fixed?

Edit: and if I Noclip and fall from the sky, these floating eyewears fall off to the ground! 😂 Nooooo.....
