RDR 2 Asi Loader 0.2.2

Load ASI files and custom code into the game.
   (5 reviews)

1 Screenshot

A simple ASI Loader for Red Dead Redemption 2 to easily load your custom code into the game.

Files are loaded after Arxan has finished its decryption stage so you can search for your favorite patterns right away!

Installation

Put version.dll in your game root folder. When the game launches, you should hear a few beeping sounds indicating that it got loaded.

Not supported for RDR Online.  Remove the ASI Loader file (version.dll) before playing Online.

Native fixes (build 1436)

Game build 1436 on July 13 2021 removed a few natives used mostly for text rendering making any mod using those crash. The ASI Loader update 0.2 fixes that by re-implementing the following natives with their original hashes. You still need a script hook!

DISPLAY_TEXT
SET_TEXT_COLOR
SET_TEXT_CENTRE
SET_TEXT_SCALE
SET_TEXT_DROPSHADOW
TASK_EVERYONE_LEAVE_VEHICLE

Let me know if any of those do not work as expected. Thanks to fingaweg for their help.

So now that Alexander Blade's RDR2ScriptHook and d8input.dll (*.asi-loader) are updated, is there still any reason to use this mod? Does it matter if I use both THIS *.asi loader AND the one that comes with ScriptHook, or must only one be installed?

I haven't had any issues, but I just noticed after checking out of curiosity that the OG has finally been updated, so I downloaded it and it's made me wonder....

Also curious about this, currently trying to avoid breaking random encounters as well as missions not popping up which are supposedly due to either script hook or version.dll

If it helps, I ended up using both *.asi loaders simultaneously, and I've experienced no issues - yet. The only reason that I've still kept the `version.dll` loader is because the "Horse-Lanterns at Night" mod specifically lists the `version.dll` loader (originally from Lenny's Simple Trainer) as a requirement, although I highly doubt it would really make a difference. I'll test out whether it's really necessary myself, but again, it's unlikely you'd need both except for specific circumstances like mine, and I would personally recommend going/sticking with Alexander Blade's  d8input.dll  for loading `*.asi` files.

Story-wise, I'm only on Chapter 3 dealing with the town of Rhodes, so perhaps I simply haven't gotten to any missions that break under the circumstances, but I still get random events - both native and modded in - and all of my mission prompts have still worked as well.

    Best of luck!

For anyone having trouble - If you previously used Script Hook RDR2, remove "dinput8.dll" from your root directory (make sure you leave ScriptHookRDR2.dll) and then launch RDR2.exe manually. Hope this helps! Also huge thanks to @LMS for getting us this quick fix! You're awesome!

Can anyone help me with this error, i start rdr2 from the exe with scripthookrdr2.dll, version.dll and rampage trainer and i get this message

There is a bug with version 2.1, where if you go to a beggar in any of the towns, except the blind fortune teller dude, and press "E" to donate 25cents, arthur/john will just stand there for a moment and do nothing and then it will back out of whatever animation it was about to play and then let you move around and go back to normal, but it won't allow you to donate to the beggars. 2.0 doesn't have this issue, but many mods require 2.1 specifically

This version no longer works on the latest update build 1436.31, same goes with scripthook from alexander blade. RDR2 just won't launch. Game works just fine when I remove version.dll and dinput8.dll and scripthookRDR2.dll

Just gonna have to wait until either this gets updated or Alex's asiloader gets updated.

Indeed , but go to "Posts" there is a temporary solution for mods to works

For those getting a Scripthook error after this update

Just tried one thing and it has worked for me (no error, mods are working)

    1) Open launcher with admin rights, click Play

    2) Immediately after that replace RDR2.exe with the previous version of it* (I had 1.0.1436.28 in my cloud backup storage so I used that)
    * prior to replacing make sure your RDR2.exe is Unlocked and set to be always opened with admin rights in Windows file properties

This worked for me not sure if it's gonna work for you but maybe worth a try since we got no Scripthook update yet

I can upload and share RDR2.exe I used if needed. Although it's best to avoid downloading random exe files from strangers 🙂

Edit: I uploaded the exe: Mediafire

I confirm it works , a little confuse as solution and not pratical but works awaiting updated version for lml and version.dll

Действительно , но зайдите в "Сообщения" есть временное решение для модов, чтобы работать:

Я подтверждаю, что это работает, немного смущает как решение и не практично, но работает в ожидании обновленной версии для lml и version.dll

    Thanks for the effort

    @faucherluo Remove NoInvisibleSnipers.asi

Scripthook has been updated by alexander, this asi loader quits upon launch every single time, no mods installed

once scripthook and version.dll is in the game keeps quitting upon launch via rockstar games launcher :(

Where can i find it ?

In your game directory. Also AB's scripthookrdr2 got updated, so you may want to try using AB's scripthookrdr2 to see if that fixes the issue.
