RDR 2 Outfit Changer 0.5.1

Change player clothes and make custom outfits!
   (16 reviews)

Message added by LMS

Please note that you need to use the latest Lenny's Simple Trainer update (version 1.3 or greater) to use multiplayer models properly.

11 Screenshots

We are proud to release our latest modification for Red Dead Redemption 2: An outfit changer! Featuring all of the more than 1300 single player clothing items (and in version 0.2 all multiplayer components!), Arthur has never looked more unique. A word of caution: The component system in RDR2 is very powerful and even many parts of your skin are components which you might need to toggle to make body parts (re)appear! Please read the readme.txt file for more information on how the system works.

Features

  • Change clothing items in over 40 categories with over 10000 total variations!
  • Save your current outfit
  • Quickly equip saved outfits
  • Reset all your components
  • Change Ped Skin (see readme)
  •  Enable Multiplayer Assets (try changing your model to mp_male or mp_female using our trainer to access them in all your glory)
  • New! Change beard and hair length, untuck shirts and much more!
  • New! Customize menu key

Controls

Press F2 to open/close the Outfit Changer menu:

  • Up/Down to navigate the menu vertically.
  • Left/Right to change item options.
  • Enter to select.
  • Backspace to go back.

Installation
All you need to do is drag the files into your game root folder - the one where RDR 2 is installed.

  • The Outfit Changer is loaded from the same folder and shares many of the same files as Lenny's Simple Trainer but works without it.
  • When the game launches, you should hear a few beeping sounds, indicating that the mod is loaded.
  • RDR Online is not supported for modding.  Don't attempt to play Online with this mod.  Remove all files from your game folder before playing Online.

Configuration
Open the outfitchanger.ini file (found in your game folder) in a text editor to configure the Outfit Changer where you can:

  • Change the names of categories.
  • Name your favourite clothing items to make finding them again easier.
  • Manually edit/manage your saved outfits (although you can do this in the menu).

We are working on a Wiki page to document all of the clothing items.

To load any changes to the outfitchanger.ini file, use the "Reload Settings" feature in the menu.

Please don't upload or redistribute this mod, link here instead so that everyone has the most up to date version.

Please note that you are not permitted to sell configuration files for this mod. This mod is free and so should be your files!

The Mod itself is phenomenal - But, it isn't useable for playing the Story, as everything or at least some parts gets reset, after entering cutscenes and save reloads - which is sad. Also after loading a saved outfit from the mod, Arthurs Hair and Beard gets reset as well. I hope a fix is in the work -  or even better, a mod that lets  you save your modded outfit in your ingame wardrobe.

The MP stuff is a "Nice to have" but it is clearly not desinged for Arthur. It is clippping as F*** and lacks almost any physics. If I'd be smart enough to create Mods, I would definitly focus on the SP parts and try to merge them perfectly in the story mode. Less is More!

Personally I'd be more than happy to have the ability to remove the satchel and the offhand holster and be able to save this once and for all for certain outfits.

So after all RDR 2 Outfit Changer in this state is a pointless Super Mod. It is like having a Ferrari without any Fuel at all, I just can't use it with purpose...;) But Keep up the work, I really appreciate the Mod Community.

This stuff is amazing. I always wanted to remove the satchel, off hand holster and the knife sheath. Many thanks. 😍

Hello Mr.LMS Please Note these ideas.

Everything was ok and made in best way , but there are 2 things that annoying me :

1.the controls are tool hard. i mean it would be better holding down than pressing it down. selecting one by one is too boring and u know red dead online has many different clothes.

    2. the other thing is an option like "searching clothes".

Such a great mod, really adds a vast range of customisation options that are definitely needed for Single Player.

El mod me gusta mucho pero ahora no funciona y me cierra el juego si hay archivos de el en la carpeta raíz.

This is overall a brilliant mod!!!

And egarding the issue that DanteBellin brought up, the MP stuff isn't 'clipping as F***', those are not  designed for authur's mode, if you use rampage trainer(or others) to change your player model to be 'MP_male' then those clothes would fit perfectly, and they really look fancy as F***'. But indeed those are perhaps not so good for storymode as changing to MP model disable arthur from interacting with npcs outside cutscene.

Oh and one more thing, if you wish to change the size of your torso to John's, to fit in the man with no name poncho for example, adjust the 'heafd' section, not the torso.

The mod is great in itself, but I would like to make a recommendation, that the male / female mp could be customized more, and that they have eyebrows, since they look weird without them

Works great! If you come from Menyoo or ENT from GTAV, the menu will feel clunky to you probably, but all the same functions are their except for one thing - customizing facial structure of mp male & female characters. I don't know if that's planned or not, but regardless, the outfit pieces work perfectly. Same limitations from Menyoo and ENT apply here - don't save with a custom ped skin enabled, disable auto-save, and be careful trying to use custom outfits in missions.

Make sure you download and use Lenny's Simple Trainer along side this mod to get full functionality of this mod.

p.s. Make sure you have "Full Control" permissions for all of your groups and usernames (that are applicable) of the Red Dead Redemption 2 installation folder, and the outfitchanger.ini, if you are having trouble saving outfits.

This is definitely the best mod out there right now. There are so many outfit options to choose from and a great way to customize your character. 5 Stars!
