Shoot it out with bandits, hunt down outlaws and walk the streets with a star.  RDR First Response (RDRFR) is an all new experience we've created specifically tailored for Red Dead Redemption which ties in seamlessly with the game, turning you into the law.

rdrdl.jpg

This first version of RDRFR puts the power of the law into your hands for the first time since Rockstar's flagship title arrived on PC.  Working in conjunction with our Patreon supporters and testers, we've built a number of core features into the mod for you to enjoy with the ability to arrest suspects, go on duty and request backup in a manner similar to LSPDFR for GTA V.

Being tailor made towards RDR, though, there's a couple of key differences in RDRFR.  One of the new concepts we've introduced is for providing 'missions' or 'investigations' to the player.  Instead of pretending that police radios existed in the 20th Century, you'll now find that civilians within the world will summon your help the old fashioned way - in person, calling out loudly for the assistance of the law.  Similarly, there are other noticeable deviations throughout especially as it relates to arresting suspects and the interaction options available.  Instead of having separate key presses or buttons, we've tried to keep things as integrated with the game as possible: most of the features and actions in RDRFR are accessed or performed through the game's contextual prompts.

It's a great mod but I have the following glitches:

-sometimes it just gets me off duty for no reason

-when I try to arrest someone, sometimes my partner just kills him

-if I arrest someone without having a partner and there is a sheriff nearby, he just cuts him free

-if I accept a horse theft mission then it just gets me off duty (every time).

A really wonderful start to something great! It is clear that the devs have put in a lot of time to integrate this mod seamlessly into the game and it really shows. As of now, the mod is pretty bare bones and buggy--but c'mon, its only release 0.1! I'm really excited to see where RDRFR goes in the future! For now, it really hits the spot to "police as you see fit"! Keep up the great work!

Excellent start, and this mod gives a bit of depth to the game play.  I was surprised to see a release so soon, compared to what seemed like ages for the releases of LCPDFR and LDPSFR.

Love it!  Being into LCPDFR and LSPDFR since the beginning, I'm totally excited about this mod and potential it has.

As for a few negative comments above, I think they are unwarranted for the most part.  One guy compares this release, a month or so old release, to the four year old LSPDFR release, which is comparing apples to oranges - expecting a completed project compared to the likes of LSPDFR, within month of the PC release of RDR 2 - come on man!  Get real!  Another guy complains of the buggy interaction and lack of callouts.  All true to a point, but not in context at all and unfair comparisons in general - and at this point in time, far less buggy.

First off, GTA has OpenIV support, and has for years!  For the most part, RDR does not yet have such support; so you can't even save modded files like voices, new models, and such to the game yet.  When this happens, you'll see mods galore compared to what the modding scene is now.

Second; and something not to be overlooked or overstated, is the very fact this is a new release (Alpha, if you will), so it is indeed bare bones by definition.

In any event, what I've seen with this mod is very well done, and worth the DL and install 100%.  I'm loving it, and can't wait to see what's next.  I'm so excited that I'm starting to learn the scripting, and going to start modding to include content for RDR2FR.

Thanks and keep it up LMS!

    Good day,

I was looking forward for that for a long time and my dream finally came true. Very good mod and I cannot wait for further content and features. I get it's an early access, so it's not completed, but things I noticed:

+ fast loading when going on duty

+ working sheriff voice on certain models

    + partners

    + lockable jail doors

    + prisoner transport

+ any problem with decreased perfomance

    - forced pistol and weapon loadout

    - custom weapons from horse doesn't stay equiped

    - when accepted callout, sometimes there is no mark where to go

    - sometimes crashes when accepting call

    - partner or another sheriff cuts free arrested criminal

I'm really looking forward for further updates, because this mod has a huge potential!

I have been putting this mod away because I had problems with rage plugin hook. Recently, however I managed to get it to work and I have one thing to say - wow... this mod is amazing. It is essential for everyone to at least give it a try. I haven't encountered any major bugs for my 4 hours of playing, except a wrong disarm animation. The new interactions with peds, the callouts, recruiting other officers - it just works and it actually works perfectly.

Besides the glitches (which are expected this early in) the concept of it so far is awesome and I can't wait to see this improve over time, especially with all the custom callouts that are already being made.  I agree with @HonestDaysWork about the name and honor system ideas, I think if this could be connected to the game world more it wouldn't just be something to for fun but there could be more of an incentive to do it.  As another example if you got paid for bringing people to jail (from a callout, so you can't just lock as many people up as possible to get rich lmao)  it could work as a job for people to have another way to make money legally besides hunting/fishing. Based on this being the first version, and the amount of potential I myself can see for it, I give it a 5/5.

Only problem I came across was I have to open/run Rage as administrator, right clicking on my Rage desktop shortcut and select Run As Administrator.. Apart from that it's brilliant, oh, and nothing happens when I hit F5.

Going to Valentine Sherrifs office and standing at the desk allows me to Go On Duty, I can change clothes and character at the bed and get weapons from the chest at the end of the bed.

Get missions from distraught townsfolk, deal with those pesky O'Driscolls, find the missing horses and have fun.

As someone who was around for the founding of LCPDFR and remembers the 0.1 and early versions I understand and respect this is a large work in progress. It took LCPDFR over 5 years to become half of what it was, and LSPDFR was over a decade. With that being said, I'm happy to see that just shortly after Red Dead Redemption 2 coming to PC the modding scene has begun to blossom. And with that comes RDRFR. It's a solid foundation for this modification and I already know it will be the premier overhaul mod for this game title. Just as LCPDFR was for GTA IV, and LSPDFR was for GTA V. There are issues with animations and also general stability, but that's to be expected at this stage. We all must do our part and coordinate and work with staff and developers to report bugs and issues and help test and improve the mod. Ontop of that we are seeing our first few " call out " packs and hopefully everything can become more stable and consistent soon. Only true issue I have to be honest is the mods title. I get why it's being used for recognition and such, however the " First Response " phrase and concept just doesn't seem suited for the 1800's time frame and Cowboy scene. I think you could draw some more eyes and have a better ring with something more casual like " Red Dead Redemption 2 : Lawman " or  " RDR2 : Lawmen " or something like that. Would also be amazing to see you guys utilize the honor system and incorporate it into the gameplay of the mod. So that if you shoot suspects or shake people down or are overly-aggressive you will lose honor and the respect of local towns. But if you detain, transport and jail you gain honor and local reputation. All in all this is a solid start and gives the community something to add to!.

I want to give an honest opinion without offending anybody or calling something better than it actually is.

After that amount of time we have waited for the mod, its feeling like a pre-alpha developer version. I'm not saying you guys were lazy, I'm sure you have a lot of work too in your job, LSPDFR etc.

In this case, you should look for more developers because otherwise new updates will take extremely long too.

Here are the points that are very important to me to be improved/fixed:

    • No voice when telling someone to stop or hands up. (It would be unrealistic to have John with another police officers voice, but it would be better than no voice at all!)
    • Lack of interactions (there's only arrest, disarm and a few more). There should be things like asking for the name or stuff, like in GTA.
    • Very buggy arrest animation (basically arresting makes the whole experience useless)
    • You should still be able to press F to insult people or threaten them instead of only Greeting them on Duty. It would make my experience as a bad cop player better!

As a first release version, the product seems not really ready. I know, you probably didn't want us to wait longer, but it would have been better I think!

Anyway, thanks for releasing and I'm looking forward to the next updates!

    Best regards,

    Minzent

It's a nice start, really bare bones and leaves a lot to be desired.  It has 3 Callouts, 1-2 of which crash or do NOT work for myself and others. I like that I can use John and Arthur for policing. Ped interactions get a little messed up with the mod and while on duty. It's neat but I'd personally wait for more to be developed.

This is the "release ready" version?

Yeah yeah, "it's only the first version!!!!!".

I think the LCPDFR 1.0 release had less issues than this... that was on a broken game port.

    Steam错误-更新时出现错误(应用程序配置不可用)解决方案,在Rockstar Games出现后,在Steam上打开RDR,然后打开RAGEPluginHook😄
