About This File

This mod backports the gamepad icons from Red Dead Redemption 2, for a more lore friendly appearance.

 

Requirements:

MagicRDR: GitHub - Foxxyyy/Magic-RDR: RPF Editor for Red Dead Redemption

 

To begin the installation, download MagicRDR from https://github.com/Foxxyyy/Magic-RDR. This tool is essential for editing the necessary files.

  1. Open MagicRDR and locate fonts.rpf in the main 'game' folder.

  2. Once fonts.rpf is open in MagicRDR, navigate to root/fonts/packed/pccontrolleruiprompts.dds.

  3. Right-click on pccontrolleruiprompts.dds, select "Replace file," and choose the import.dds file.

  4. When finished, go to File > Save > Current.

That's it! You should now see RDR2 gamepad icons in your game.
