I'm sorry for what seems like some stupid questions, but do mods load from the top of the list to the bottom or from the bottom of the list to the top? If a particular mod says "give this mod x priority over mod y " in reference to its compatibility to another mod, does this mean mod c should be listed above or below mod y with overwrite turned on? The language used in the community is driving me insane a little bit lmao. For the example below, VESTIGIA says the mod LAW should overwrite it and it says that it should overwrite Improved Wildlife. Does the picture look like I did it right?
@BarnabyJones It loads from top to bottom.

ASI loader works but it doesn't beep, which is confusing.
@IgnitedBread It doesn't beep as it would be annoying every time you start the game. That is why there are no beeps by design.

@pointerboy I am not sure if you were aware, but I uploaded a similar mod yesterday:

I found a bug. It is impossible to donate to the poor of Saint-Denis. Arthur just freezes when you press the button and when he is unfreezes, you can press that button again and again (same reaction). I can still donate to the blind old man who spawns everywhere and can donate to the Saint Denis beggar who pretends to be blind (fake blind, wearing a red shirt). But I can't donate to the real poor (who give you a tonic or something in return). I am absolutely 100% sure that this is due to Asi, because I removed all my mods and just tested (added one by one, each time looking for beggars.) I can donate to beggars without mods, but as soon as Asi in the root folder this bug happens (so in the root folder there were only LML (without mods inside) and Asi) I hope you fix this! I feel really bad when I drive past these people..
(I used the latest version _02_2)
And thank you for your mod.
@NPCmito It is a known bug that he is aware of. Also hoping that it will get fixed.

So i really wanted this mod so i could play as sadie, when i finally got it to work, sadie is not in the model changer which i was told and shown by multiple sources that it would be
@Khopesh It can be done with the rampage trainer with asi loader (version.dll).

Weird problem.. Every mod that has been installed by Lenny Mod Manager, no longer works. All the asi files ofcourse works on its own because of script hook. Every metafile I change through steam folder works.. But mods installed by LMM doesn't work. Like Why Em DLC and Gun Metal Work. I have updated mod mananger to beta 10. Script hook to the new version.. Mod manager says the game is connected, and everything installed and enabled.. But it just isn't showing the mods in game.. Any help would be appreciated?
@HoratioCaius Do you have version.dll installed? It might be best to use that instead of dinput8.dll.
If that doesn't work, delete mods.xml in the lml folder to reset lml, then test the mods ingame without going into the mod manager menu.

Can anyone help me with lenny simple trainer every time i put version.dll in my directory i load my game up click story and it loads for a couple seconds and closes out without saying anything, and ive tried it without version.dll and every mod i have works except for lenny simple trainer and ofc i have updated script hook and everything else needed it's only lenny simple trainer thats messing up my game ive also tried the asi loader version.dll and it still doesn't work and i dont know how to fix it my mods are.
Rampage Trainer
PedDamageOverhaul
All Shots Cause Bleedouts
@amare123 This is the thread for LML which is a completely different mod, but I will help anyways.
Lenny's simple trainer includes an outdated version of asi loader. If you are installing Lenny's simple trainer after asi loader, the old asi loader will overwrite the new asi loader, thus causing the game to crash. Installing asi loader after Lenny's Simple Trainer should fix the issue.
I personally recommend Rampage Trainer instead, as it has more features than Lenny's Simple Trainer, but you can use Lenny's Simple Trainer if you feel like it.

Aha, figured it out, thanks though!
@JunipusMaximus The reason that this works is because LML stores a list of mods and the list gets updated when the game runs.
The mods did not show up in the mod manager as the list was empty, because the game had not ran with the mods installed, thus the list did not update.
-
When manually moving mods into the lml folder, they wouldn't show up in the Mod Loader app.
@JunipusMaximus Try running the game first, then open the app.

@NuclearCowboy I would use AB scripthook instead of Redhook as Redhook has not been maintained for a long time. Also the window that you opened for the mod manager is not actually LML, it just manages the lml mods. This means lml is working as long as it is generating a log file called vfs.asi.

Hey All,
I've been having an issue with the PED Damange Overhaul mod and Lenny's Mod Loader: Whenever I press f9 I am not getting a message showing that the mod is properly installed.
I've downlaoded version 10 of LML and whenever I load RD2, I am getting an error message on LML that says it's waiting for the game to start. Using the steam version.Any ideas one what's happening?
@NuclearCowboy You need a scripthook and asi loader if you did not install them. If you did, make sure the asi file is in the main game directory. Follow the installation instructions for the mod carefully.

Well, technically, yes, no version of LML worked on the prior version (to clarify was 1311.23). But, also to clarify again, that v7, v8 and v9 all "worked" per se, as in all of the mods loaded and functioned just fine, but LML itself would cause the occasional hiccup where the game would freeze for a split second, then continue working - it wasn't a huge deal, other than the fact it would happen multiple times in a short period of time, so it was more a nuisance than anything. However, it was just v10 that would flat out "not work", as in no mods would load, or act as if they were installed.
@CrWbb26 All now makes sense, thanks and have a great day!

I'm not sure if you had noticed in my original comment, or maybe I wasn't very clear, I feel like I was kind of "dragging on" in my explanation. Anyway, I had tried using all versions of LML available. I tried Beta v7, v8, v9 and v10 - with v7, v8, and v9, LML was causing the periodic hiccup (freezing) while playing (even without any other mods installed, except LML standalone), then with v10, the mods would not load in-game at all (but, there was no freezing whatsoever with LML running standalone). So, it was coming down to choosing - either no more mods that require the use of LML period ... or ... deal with the freezing that came along with all of the previous versions of LML. It also did not matter which version of the *asiloader, *scripthook, or the mods I was running, up to date, or previous versions, they refused to work on v10.
But yes, now that I am running the recent version of the game, everything seems to be working without any noticable issues - at least in the multiple hours of playing I did last night, so I am confident in calling this "resolved".
Thank you for the tips!
@CrWbb26 That is pretty interesting that no version of LML worked before updating. Never saw anything like that, but at least the issue is "resolved".
-
@LMS, thank you for the quick response, I appreciate it! Turns out, it seems like it was an issue with the version of the game I was running. I have upgraded to 1436, and it appears to be working just fine now - smooth as butter, no issues.
Thank you again!
@CrWbb26 I had suspected from the beginning that you might be running an older version, and it seems I was right all along. At least you found out what the issue was. I would recommend in the future checking what version of the game you are on and checking that the mod supports that specific version of the game. You may have to use an older version of a mod to get it to work. Hope that these tips help you in the future!

I'm on latest with game, and asi loader too, the problem is vfs.asi, don't you @LMS?
@Chris2000 I am not the right person to solve studdering issues, I mainly help solve crashing issues. I would look to someone else that knows more about lml like you just @mentioned.

Which one i have to download? latest didn't work for me
@Chris2000 What version of the game are you running?

Lenny's Mod Loader RDR
in Tools
@BarnabyJones Also, I think the law mod should go after the VESTIGIA mod.
