  1. I'm 90% certain that there's a way to do this with XB36Hazard's Save Editor. Unfortunately, the parts that I think you would have to change (under the "More" tab) are not self-explanatory or user friendly at all, and I can't find anything like a manual or FAQ or nothing.
  2. Praise Toddler Jesus (cuz Baby Jesus is just a baby and doesn't understand praise), and praise LMS!
LMS ended the mod crisis with this latest update. LMS saved the day with this asi loader! How's that for a review? (Just make sure you remove dinput8.dll from your game's root directory if you have it. That's what's tripping folk up, I reckon.)
  3. Can you point me to directions on how to use Steam CMD to install the older RDR2 files as you were talking about? Or if it's relatively simple, can you just tell me what to type into the cmd line?

That didn't work as well as I thought initially.  I posted later in the discussion the manifest list as well as directions on how to carry this out.  It's tricky, and then getting around the auto update in steam and the R* launcher is also a little tricky (you set the game to only update when you launch it, then run the game so the R* launcher loads you in, then immediately close the game before it updates and go offline in steam, then you can play the game normally)...this is all after you do the manifest download and reconfiguration of your game files...here is my previous post:

You could wait but I managed to get my game rolled back using SteamRE's depotdownloader 2.4.3 hotfix (github) and the manifest numbers I listed above.  Each of those manifests equals a part of the game.  You go offline in steam (or it will just overwrite your hard work) download the manifests with the depot downloader, then make a new folder someplace...you pull out all the game files and place in that folder.  You then create another new folder anywhere not in the install directory for RDR2, move your old game files (located in the install directory) to that folder.  You then put all of your new game files (downloaded from depotdownloader) into the install directory folder which should now be empty.  Then install all of your mods.  I'm playing the previous version of RDR2 in offline mode in steam while awaiting a scripthook update for the latest version.  A pain in the ass to be sure, but at least I can pick up where I left off and not have to wait. (this is copied from my post at rdr2mods.com)

Wow! Somebody on the internet is actually willing to help a random person like me!😀 Thanks for the random act of kindness. I'm going to get to work and try this out.

See what you can do, it worked for me 🙂  You're welcome btw.

  4. Exactly what do I type into Steam CMD to download the previous versions of the files?
  5. Sorry if this has already been discussed, by I reckon this game would be much more fun if you had the option to forgo the drawn out animations for things like looting bodies, feeding your horse, picking up small carcasses and putting them in your satchel (for fug's sake, he just stops and looks at it ever friggin' time!), skinning carcasses, cooking and crafting, picking up and putting down bodies, et cetera, et cetera. On the online, they've already done this with looting. Your player just scoops a hand down at the corpse and presto! You've picked up all the loot. Don't get me wrong, the attention to detail in this game is phenomenal and the realistic animations are part of that. But what would be even more realistic would be if your character took shortcuts as the game goes on and repetitive actions become old hat. Thanks!
