When I play with a controller, I only have to pull the left trigger (aiming) and the crosshair will automatically center on the nearest target/enemy. You may say it's just me, however while playing Max Payne 3 I absolutely enjoyed shooting and felt that it is very responsive and enjoyable. and i can't really enjoy RDR 2 with free aim .
