thebman69 0
Similar to how vortex handles nexus download links is there a way to associate LML to mod manager downloads in Nexus so that when I click on the "mod manager download" button on Nexus, it automatically uses LML to install mods? For those of you who have played Mass Effect Legendary Edition there is the ME3TweaksModManager tool that you can associate with automatic downloads on Nexus which configures the nexus nxm handler to use it to load and sort mods. Cyan 33
Thanks for the suggestion. LML was more designed for integration with RDR2Mods.com and LCPDFR.com, but if Nexus Mods has some way that we can register as a protocol handler, this might be worth us looking into. I can't promise to look into this too soon as things are a little busy right now.
thebman69 0
Thanks for the reply. I’m guessing since both vortex and ME3Tweaks both have options to configure the nxm handler, it would just be a matter of adding that ability to LML but since I’m not a programmer of course that sounds easy to me. RedWizard 0
I've looked into this for my own projects. Nexus provides an API that will let you download mods from NXM links. For development purposes, you can use a personal API key from your Nexus account. Otherwise, they have an evaluation process to go through to gain access to their API. You can either have users generate an API key for your app or you can follow their awkward SSO process using WebSockets to get it from Nexus programmatically. Also worth mentioning that anyone who uses Vortex can set up NXM Proxy to forward only RDR2 to LML to bypass the restriction of only being able to assign one application as an NXM link handler.
