Is there any way to set bonds/relationships between NPCs that affect their reaction to each other's death? I've looked around, but I couldn't find a mod that does that.

 

I've always felt that the lack of bonds between NPCs really breaks the immersion, especially when someone dies. When they're under threat, they just run, caring only for their own lives, like they never even knew the person they were just hanging out with.

 

I thought that there wouldn't be speeches or animations available out of the box to make it, but i just saw a scene in Blackwater where a thief robs a woman and ends up killing her. The man who seems to be her husband takes her wrist, feels her pulse, and cries over her body, then carries her away.

 

I would love to see that kind of reaction in non-scripted situations. There are many ways an NPC could react to a relative's death:

- cry

- take the body away

- panic

- go into shock, unable to move

 

Or even under threat:

- run towards each other

- run to the same direction

- rescue (by horse or wagon)

- protect/cover

- give their life for the other's

 

Is anyone able to do this?
