HughJanus 244 Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 I would like to slow down certain animations but cant get this native to work: SET_ANIM_RATE Has anyone tinkered with it yet and knows how to use it? Quote
LMS 676 Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 Usually you can specify the speed already when starting the animation. I am not sure what this native actually changes, perhaps just the ped's running anim? Quote
HughJanus 244 Posted February 8, 2020 Author Posted February 8, 2020 I thought I could set the animation rate in general with this method (make the NPC move slower or faster). Quote
LMS 676 Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 I am not sure what it changes, but I don't think you can. What are you seeing when yo set it to like 0.1f? Quote
HughJanus 244 Posted February 10, 2020 Author Posted February 10, 2020 Nothing changes. I tried to fill it with (ENTITY, 0.1f, 0, 1) and (ENTITY, 0.1f, 0, 0), but maybe I have to insert the hash of an animation (which I dont have)? Quote
LMS 676 Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 It does not look like it takes a hash. Those are few examples from the game scripts: Line 11070: TASK::SET_ANIM_RATE(iLocal_38, 0.75f, 0, false); Line 11071: TASK::SET_ANIM_RATE(iLocal_39, 0.75f, 0, false); Line 11080: TASK::SET_ANIM_RATE(iLocal_38, 0.5f, 0, false); Line 11081: TASK::SET_ANIM_RATE(iLocal_39, 0.5f, 0, false); Line 1459: TASK::SET_ANIM_RATE(iLocal_1284, 1f, 0, false); Line 1463: TASK::SET_ANIM_RATE(iLocal_1285, 1f, 0, false); Line 17862: TASK::SET_ANIM_RATE(iLocal_1284, 0f, 0, false); Line 17863: TASK::SET_ANIM_RATE(iLocal_1285, 0f, 0, false); 1 Quote
HughJanus 244 Posted February 11, 2020 Author Posted February 11, 2020 Ah, so you can slow down or speed up a certain task, I guess. Thanks for the insight! Quote
LMS 676 Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 Perhaps it only works for animations played via the task natives? Might be worth a shot. Quote
