Please make sure you have the latest ASI Loader installed if you encounter any crashes!

Some anti-virus software programs mark Lenny's Simple Trainer as a virus. This is known as a false-positive. Lenny's Simple Trainer makes extensive use of memory hooking to achieve a lot of what it does, which can look malicious to anti-virus software.
Additionally, Lenny's Simple Trainer was one of the first script modifications created for RDR2 PC, and uses it's own scripthook, which increase the amount of memory hooking used and thus false positive detection potential.
If your anti-virus marks Lenny's Simple Trainer as unsafe or you have odd issues running Lenny's Simple Trainer, you will either need to exclude Lenny's Simple Trainer files (refer to your antivirus documentation for more details) or you will have to disable the anti-virus software.

All you need to do is drag the files into your game root folder - the one where RDR 2 is installed.

When the game launches, you should hear a few beeping sounds, indicating that the trainer is loaded.
Do not attempt to play Online with this trainer.  Remove all files from your game folder before playing Online.

Do not save your game as a changed character model.  We recommend that you disable autosaves before using this trainer.

Configuration
Character models, bodyguard models, weapon models, settings and teleport positions can be customized in the lst.ini file while the game is running:

If you do not get a logfile, please launch the game as administrator and make sure the folder is writable!

Yes, RDRFR has a proper model fix but I never got around to porting that to the trainer as it is a bit involved (and would then also need to maintain compatibility with RDRFR). I don't think I will port it anytime soon, sorry about that. I am not sure why you cannot use the Outfit Changer with a model changed in RDRFR, though. I think it should work fine.

Thanks for the quick reply. Ill keep trying a few things to get RDRFR running, although it seems rage hook isnt compatible with current game patch, Ill try rolling back or something, anyway thanks for your work.

Please note that you no longer need to use that option, it has been superseded by file mods combining the game catalogs, such as Red Dead Offline. The way the trainer does it introduces many game breaking effects the catalog mods do not.

    Hello,

I'm not sure what's really going on, but I have ScriptHook for RDR2, and when I installed LST, my game began lagging horribly. Are these incompatible with one another? When I use Outfit Changer the game works fine. I have been trying to get RDR Offline to work and it said LST is a req. Any help would be appreciated.

Other Mods I have Installed in lml that might conflict and I am unaware:

    Better Horses

    Companion System

    Crime And Law

    Contracts

    Better Horses

    Thanks!

I am also having the issue with quiet alligators. However I do not have the trainer installed, just the version.dll. After removing the version.dll alligator sounds return.

I dunno if you pay attention to these or not, but on the off chance you still check it out.
there's been a virus detection over one or more of the files in this downloadable. I don't particularly care either way, I quarantine everything I download, and in this instance I just need the version.dll, I already got two trainers that were required by other mods.
just wanted to make you aware because the forums over that topic in particular, are a flaming shitshow.
even going as far as spiraling off into a political war about how this mod is corrupting our nation and using our gpu and internet speeds to attack the government, paired with script kiddie arguments about what the function of an injection is and how similar it is to modding, keylogger, buzzword, buzzword. mainly mentioning it because that's probably going to deter alot of people who (through no fault of their own) don't know any better.

if for nothing else, i've now made you aware of a good read to laugh at.
little too soon, but happy holiday's lenny.

@skjol. I think the main issue here is that the mod is not open source, and this is making people think it is a virus. This is made worse by the fact that people are having issues installing the mod and them thinking that they installed a virus by accident. Making the mod open source would make people not think it is a virus but there are issues with that also. For example, the asi loader can't be open source or people will use the code to make online mod menus which is a no no. There shouldn't be any issues with the asi mod itself but I think they can't make it open source because they don't want people stealing their code, which is the total opposite in the C# community which I am from because of modding a C# game called Space Engineers where most of the mods are open source including plugins which are like asi mods. The people there share code and credit the original creators of the code. Now back to the topic; The developers should release a statement to clear any confusion and include troubleshooting steps. Hope people no longer claim that the mod is a virus.

P.S. You can verify if the mod has been modified by checking the SHA256 hash.

@skjol. You should use the @ feature as that is how to can get in contact with the developers. Did it one time and he replied back.

I mean in any event this is the same mod creator that opened up the usage for rdr2 mods to begin with before nexus supported it with vortex as far as i'm aware.
it's so popular almost every gameplay changing mod, and otherwise actually requires LML nowadays, and if that wasn't incentive enough I believe the old website before being remodeled had LML permanently stapled somewhere on the site. as well as being a cofounder of this site for hosting many a mod from the community, and probably one of the folk that implemented the virus check on this site to begin with. plus why would plenty of other mod creators with no connection to one another claim you need atleast the version.dll from this heinous trojan.

I don't get the logic behind that same mod creator then creating a trainer, is supposedly under suspicion of incorporating trojans in, frankly, not even his most popular or most downloaded mod.

I just really never saw the logic in that, but like I said it's to no fault of their own. ain't like they're getting any help by looking up forums for it, so.
but thanks for the info, I never knew why this wasn't open source, only just recently got into rdr2 in general, barely peeking into rockstar modding.
I figured it had something to do with online mode though.

and yeah, if nothing else, posting a quick disclaimer in the description would help some folk i'm sure.
*edit* oh, looks like they saw your comment. just popped up for me at the top of the screen.
n' thanks for telling me about the ping function. i'm new here.

    happy holidays.

Did nothign except what is explained in the video, nothing else. only thing i can do now is deleting the game and install it again. only explanation is that the video is obsolete and/or  you are probably using an unpatched version of the game

Hello guys, so I'm new on modding rdr2 bud I only have the base game with this mod installed, it works great, but I don't have the full list when I use this mod, like on the ped spawner I get a couple of options but not like everything, is there a fix for this? I'm not sure if I should go further on the story, I'm playing this also on a new savefile I'm currently on chapter 3

Hello I made this account just to ask this question

How do you use more models? I can only see a dozen or so and none of them I really care about.

First, make sure you have the latest version of Script Hook. If that link's download isn't working you can use this mirror for v1.0.1436.25. When installing with Lenny's Simple Trainer, only copy ScriptHookRDR2.dll to your game folder. If you have dinput8.dll in your game folder already, delete it. You might be able to use NativeTrainer.asi together but it uses the same keybind, so I would suggest deleting that too since it just duplicates features.

Now install LST. Afterwards, update your version.dll file with the version from the main RDR 2 Asi Loader mod. This is how I got the two working together.

@LMSI actually had a couple questions about the above. Is the version.dll in RDT 2 Asi Loader newer than the one packed in this mod? Are there any problems with replacing this mod's version with the one from Asi loader? Also, will there be any conflicts having Script Hook running along side your mod using the method described above? Thanks for everything!
