RDR 2 Outfit Changer 0.5.1

Change player clothes and make custom outfits!
   (16 reviews)

Message added by LMS

Please note that you need to use the latest Lenny's Simple Trainer update (version 1.3 or greater) to use multiplayer models properly.

11 Screenshots

We are proud to release our latest modification for Red Dead Redemption 2: An outfit changer! Featuring all of the more than 1300 single player clothing items (and in version 0.2 all multiplayer components!), Arthur has never looked more unique. A word of caution: The component system in RDR2 is very powerful and even many parts of your skin are components which you might need to toggle to make body parts (re)appear! Please read the readme.txt file for more information on how the system works.

Features

  • Change clothing items in over 40 categories with over 10000 total variations!
  • Save your current outfit
  • Quickly equip saved outfits
  • Reset all your components
  • Change Ped Skin (see readme)
  •  Enable Multiplayer Assets (try changing your model to mp_male or mp_female using our trainer to access them in all your glory)
  • New! Change beard and hair length, untuck shirts and much more!
  • New! Customize menu key

Controls

Press F2 to open/close the Outfit Changer menu:

  • Up/Down to navigate the menu vertically.
  • Left/Right to change item options.
  • Enter to select.
  • Backspace to go back.

Installation
All you need to do is drag the files into your game root folder - the one where RDR 2 is installed.

  • The Outfit Changer is loaded from the same folder and shares many of the same files as Lenny's Simple Trainer but works without it.
  • When the game launches, you should hear a few beeping sounds, indicating that the mod is loaded.
  • RDR Online is not supported for modding.  Don't attempt to play Online with this mod.  Remove all files from your game folder before playing Online.

Configuration
Open the outfitchanger.ini file (found in your game folder) in a text editor to configure the Outfit Changer where you can:

  • Change the names of categories.
  • Name your favourite clothing items to make finding them again easier.
  • Manually edit/manage your saved outfits (although you can do this in the menu).

We are working on a Wiki page to document all of the clothing items.

To load any changes to the outfitchanger.ini file, use the "Reload Settings" feature in the menu.

Please don't upload or redistribute this mod, link here instead so that everyone has the most up to date version.

Please note that you are not permitted to sell configuration files for this mod. This mod is free and so should be your files!

So how do you load the mp_male skin? I can't seem to find the option for it.

You need Lenny's Trainer and change the player model i think.

I grabbed that but I can only spawn mp_male npcs. I can't change the player model though. Usually I can figure this out because I been modding games for years but this one I am having issues with. Lol

is it possible to add John's hair to the hair components? or just Arthur's long hair? or an ability to change the color of your hair? I also noticed that most of the multiplayer outfits don't have clothing physics, or they have a minimal amount of it. is it possible to change that?

I played around with this mod now a lot. I Really love it, it is amazing. Is it normal that everytime I change my outfit from a vanilla outfit to one of my saved Outfit Changer outfits, Arthurs Hair and beard gets reset? It would be cool if the outfit doesn't affect Arthur Hair/Beard Style and length. But Thank you for this amazing Mod! It really makes fun and finally we can get rid of that offhand holster!

This is an incredible mod. But its a shame that when you load a saved outfit that Arthur's hair and beard gets reset along with outfit modifications like rolled up sleeves or tucked boots is also reset.

I figured that even when you start a mission with a saved outfit, Arthurs Hair and beard gets reverted back to normal in the cutscene. A fix - if possible would be highly appreciated.

Seeing some noticeable behavior in comments with F2 not working. Experiencing the same, install, get the beeps, but nothing from F2 once in game. Checked windows file permissions, not sure if a script is being prevented from running or something. Removed files, added again, waited for launcher to recognize files (received online warning, etc), made no difference. Hopefully someone figures it out soon!

Awesome improvements to the mod, truly amazing work!! Although there are still a few things that would make this mod even better: 1. Fixing the issue that arthurs's beard and hair change when changing into one of your saved outfits. 2. Fixing the issue that some clothing disable some of your earlier applied clothing.  3.To somehow find a way to make clothing from online work with Arthur/John.  4.(extra) The ability to change the skin (color/Pattern) for a specific clothing or add even new clothing to the MOD that isn't in SP or Online. I know RDR2 PC just released and you need more time and we truly appreciate your work. I'm just giving you idea's.

When the sleeves are rolled up, the forearms are invisible. Had similar issues creating mods for Skyrim SE, but I can't for the life of me remember what the fix was. Probably wouldn't be the same, anyway.

Ehh, this mod is okay, but it doesn't incorporate into the game very well. Any time you trim your beard, or go to change your clothes, it loses the changes you've made. I think I'd almost just rather a mod that adds clothing to your character's clothes chest at camp so you can change into them any time you want and it'd be permanent. As it is, it just feels wonky and glitchy. Thanks anyway.

Thanks for the great mod, the only issue I've found is that certain items (hair mainly) reset when entering cutscenes, is there anyway around this as it can be quite distracting to constantly have to go back into the menu to change it after every cutscene?

when u press f2 the character disappears u can still change outfits and shit but having to close the trainer to see what it looks like then reopening it everytime is really annoying

Great mod, I have high hopes for the future of this one. Right now it's still wonky but that's to be expected this early on. Like others have reported, I also noticed some items (hair, beard, boar talisman too even though I actually have item in my satchel) disappear during cutscenes.

I re-equipped one my favorite outfit while a cutscene was playing and it updated just fine, but the next time Arthur appeared on screen during said cutscene the aforementioned items were gone again.

It would be nice to have these stick, and not have these outfits affect hair and bear style/length at all. So hopefully that will be a thing for the future.
