RDR 2 Asi Loader 0.2.2

Load ASI files and custom code into the game.
   (5 reviews)

1 Screenshot

A simple ASI Loader for Red Dead Redemption 2 to easily load your custom code into the game.

Files are loaded after Arxan has finished its decryption stage so you can search for your favorite patterns right away!

Installation

Put version.dll in your game root folder. When the game launches, you should hear a few beeping sounds indicating that it got loaded.

Not supported for RDR Online.  Remove the ASI Loader file (version.dll) before playing Online.

Native fixes (build 1436)

Game build 1436 on July 13 2021 removed a few natives used mostly for text rendering making any mod using those crash. The ASI Loader update 0.2 fixes that by re-implementing the following natives with their original hashes. You still need a script hook!

DISPLAY_TEXT
SET_TEXT_COLOR
SET_TEXT_CENTRE
SET_TEXT_SCALE
SET_TEXT_DROPSHADOW
TASK_EVERYONE_LEAVE_VEHICLE

Let me know if any of those do not work as expected. Thanks to fingaweg for their help.

Why does it download the file as a .htm instead of a .zip? Is it just for me?

Has anyone found a fix for users experiencing a crash with the new version.dll installed? When I look at my launcher log I find this error code

[crashdetection] Exit code 0xc0000005 indicates a fatal game exit (reason: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION)

I'll post this here. It might be able to help someone out. I bought the game on R* launcher. When I first downloaded the new version.dll my game would load then quit. This would only happen with version dll in my main game folder. Without version dll my game would load fine, just without mods. When I looked at my launcher log I would get a status access violation error. I noticed that every time I interacted with a file in rdr 2 directory I would need Admin rights to do anything. So I lowered Admin rights and gave full control to everyone on the whole RDR2 main directory This got rid of the Admin  permission bs that always pops up.  If you don't know what I mean its here in this video below.

After I did that I restarted my pc and I no longer had crashing with the new version dll installed. The annoying loading/quitting at the launcher was resolved. I did still have crashing when loading into the games actual world though. I removed all mods and started going through them one by one. I was having trouble with script hook native trainer so I removed it and installed the new rampage. That got rid of the scripthook errors for me. Most of my mods are now working. Contracts and tie your lasso are the only two mods that don't work for me.(note on these mods below)

Hopefully, this helps someone. It's what worked for me. (quick edit) All of my mods are now working. The contracts and lasso mod I must have deleted the dat files that come with those two mods while I was removing for testing. I redownloaded and reinstalled them and now they are working correctly. I added this just in case someone did what I had done.

@SystmemError X  Did you remove ScripthookRDR2.dll ? cause i've got randomly crash in the game with that file combine with version.dll " [crashdetection] Exit code 0xc0000005 indicates a fatal game exit (reason: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION)."

Edit  : I test without scripthook and it seems it's cause by version.dll

No, Scripthook is the only file I kept from AB Scripthook. I deleted dinput8.dll as well as the native trainer. Howerver, I had a mod called ride with a gang. Apparently that  mod had a version of scripthook and dinput8 dll that came with it. What I'm trying to getting at is when I reinstalled my mods such as "ride with gang", it reinstalled problematic scripthook files that caused a crash. After that, I re examined each mod to make sure it didn't have those two files before I reinstalled them. The only scripthook you want is the one that comes from ab scripthook download. Just the Scripthook. Nothing else.

Also, I don't know if this helped or not, but it might be worth mentioning. I went to the Version.dll and unblocked it. To do that, I just hit properties, then unblock, apply. That may do nothing but I still did it.

For me, my main issue was the Admin/permissions. When I de elevated, that cured the status violation for me.

I got all the permissions correctly on my pc, and still the version.dll is causing the game to crash after two beeps. I give up, time to move to a new game it seems.

Most of the mods work but game keeps crashing after a certain period of time by a GFX state error.

That new update of Scripthook is needed because these problems were non-existent before the new update that came along.

Большинство модов работают, но игра продолжает вылетать через определенный период времени из-за ошибки состояния GFX.

Это новое обновление Scripthook необходимо, потому что этих проблем не было до появления нового обновления.

Sorry I didn't understand if I have to download all the files or just the most recent.

Deleted all files except version.dll to test this and it seems that version.dll causes the mission "An Honest Day's Labors" to be stuck before you choose to sneak, attack or threaten the bounty hunters, everyone just stops talking and you can kill everyone that you're not supposed to including Sadie and the bounty without the mission failing and if you die you get an infinite loading screen.

So one day I'm playing normally and everything is working great, then the next day the asi loader fails to load every asi I have. I've fiddled around with my files to try and get something to work but nothing changes. I even reinstalled all of my mods but it still fails to load. Any advice/help?

So now that Alexander Blade's RDR2ScriptHook and d8input.dll (*.asi-loader) are updated, is there still any reason to use this mod? Does it matter if I use both THIS *.asi loader AND the one that comes with ScriptHook, or must only one be installed?

I haven't had any issues, but I just noticed after checking out of curiosity that the OG has finally been updated, so I downloaded it and it's made me wonder....
