The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play RDRFR, can be found inside the RDRFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website. Please also make sure you have the latest version of our ASI Loader (version.dll) if you are encountering any issues.

Shoot it out with bandits, hunt down outlaws and walk the streets with a star.  RDR First Response (RDRFR) is an all new experience we've created specifically tailored for Red Dead Redemption which ties in seamlessly with the game, turning you into the law.

This first version of RDRFR puts the power of the law into your hands for the first time since Rockstar's flagship title arrived on PC.  Working in conjunction with our Patreon supporters and testers, we've built a number of core features into the mod for you to enjoy with the ability to arrest suspects, go on duty and request backup in a manner similar to LSPDFR for GTA V.  

 

Being tailor made towards RDR, though, there's a couple of key differences in RDRFR.  One of the new concepts we've introduced is for providing 'missions' or 'investigations' to the player.  Instead of pretending that police radios existed in the 20th Century, you'll now find that civilians within the world will summon your help the old fashioned way - in person, calling out loudly for the assistance of the law.  Similarly, there are other noticeable deviations throughout especially as it relates to arresting suspects and the interaction options available.  Instead of having separate key presses or buttons, we've tried to keep things as integrated with the game as possible: most of the features and actions in RDRFR are accessed or performed through the game's contextual prompts.

I guess it is necessary to wait for the update of RAGE for the mod to work?

Yup, it depends on RAGEPluginHook.

We'll post here when an update is available. I've put the latest information in an announcement at the top of the site.

    The rage says the version is too new. I only have rdr2 on epic games. Does anyone know how to fix this?? Please answer!

    Wow..just came across this mod, how awesome!  I have over 2000 hours in LCPDFR and LSPDFR, so this is a welcome surprise, and knowing the high quality work of the aforementioned police mods for GTAIV and V, I can't wait to give it a go!

    want to report a bug, after the recent update, when ever i arrest some npc, it ends up i got tied up

    Can you please verify that you are using the version.dll that ships with RDRFR and not the one from one of our trainers? I was quite sure I had fixed that..

    Crashes for me when I load into game. I've reinstalled it twice nothing changed. Is there possible conflicts with other mods or plugins?

    Not really, but I have to divide my free time between my mods here, RDRFR and my GTA 5 stuff. As a sole dev I can only do so much 🙂

    No matter what I have tried it refuses to work

     

    Rage Plugin Hook insufficient Permissions and Bad Antivirus Error Message

    I did what I could on windows defender.

     

    And still I use the rockstar launcher.

     

    I have tried looking it up online have done the restart  twice  still nothing

     

    I have done everything possible from watching youtube videos regardless of it being steam or RS

     

    I have no other mods and other misc modified files in the RDR 2 folders

     

    I have a clean copy of the game in a portable drive have removed the RDR 2 game folder after uninstalling and reinstalling.

     

    still got the error. 

     

    I have enough memory I have a strong enough processor and a top notch VGA

     

    My mother board bios are updated - so are the OS files and everything else.

     

    16gb  - AMD 6300 FX - 1050 TI an also have a 1070 TI

     

    I also have another PC which I have tried to install this on same issue

     

    Rage plugin seems to just not want to work with me not matter what.

     

    Don't like to say these things but sadly I am just saying rage plugin should just be thrown into the incinerator at this point not worth the headache and all

     

    Fire wall was set to allow in/out bound apps.

     

    Made sure anything that would hinder the application from doing what it needed to do.

     

    ran the game first then ran the rage plugin afterwards still did not work

    exited out of the game and just gave the error.

     

    One star review is all this mod gets from me

     

    would give it a -3 for the wasted time rage plugin gave me

     

    but sadly there isn't any way to do so.

     

    I know there was a lot of work put into this mod but its apparently flawed by one thing that requires it to run

     

    which is rage which brought memories of certain other mod plugins that are required to run certain mods

     

    which also were a huge headache.

     

    Don't let this review keep you from trying this mod though seems that some are able to play it

    while a few others are left wondering what in the hell is wrong? and why am I constantly getting this error

     

     

    some have reported they were able to play this mod at one point and time but logging back to play the rage plugin began acting up and producing the error for some reason

    and they have not been able to play the mod since.

    Thank you for the news LMS, arrived late for the RDR2 train and just spent my first 100+ hours in it. Am a great fan of LSPDFR and I can only imagine what could be done in RDR2 with a "Lawman" RDRFR mod!!!

    Take your time as it deserves it, and thank you again so much for what you do and will do.

    Hi all 

    this mod Is great, thx 

    do the civilians npc and other lawman npc treat the character as lawman after on duty ? Since I was told by other npc to stay out of trouble and other lawman to get out of the sheriff office 🤔

    could that be improve 😃

    Game crashes immediately after loading in. No error messages either. Maybe this needs to be updated to work with the latest version of RDR2?
